Joseph C. Lane - Chairman

Joseph C. Lane is a founding principal of the strategic investment firm Sinter Partners. He recently served as chief executive officer of GE Technology Finance, which was created when GE Capital acquired the business of Bay4 Capital (an independent provider of leasing, management and portfolio services for information technology) where he was an owner and vice chairman. Mr. Lane was also an owner, chairman and CEO of Hyphos360, a database management and direct marketing services provider.

Previously, Mr. Lane was president of IBM Credit Corporation, group executive, IBM Global Financing, and senior vice president of IBM. As head of the world’s largest information technology financing business, he was responsible for a $40 billion operation in over 40 countries. He was a member of IBM’s Operations Committee, Worldwide Management Council and Senior Management Group.

For nearly 20 years, Mr. Lane was with GATX Capital Corporation, where he ultimately served as president and chief executive officer. He was chairman of Sun Financial Corporation, chairman of Centron, DPL, and a director of Oxford Finance. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lane was an investment banker with a regional firm in Texas. He has served on boards of directors and advisory boards in Europe, Asia and North America.

He is currently on the Board of Directors of Accruit, LLC, U.S. Inspect, and Sun Print Management, LLC.  He is a Founding Director of Red Ladder Media, Vice Chairman of the South Bronx Educational Foundation, and an associate fellow of Davenport College at Yale University, where he earned his BA in American history.

Mr. Lane has been a director, vice chairman and chairman of the Equipment Leasing Association, and a trustee and chairman of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation.
